If your 1911 is dropping casings at your feet instead of launching them to your right, then your extractor is weak and needs to be tuned.
Your plunger tube is the tube on the left side of your 1911 that holds a spring loaded detent. This detent supplies pressure on your thumb safety. If the plunger tube wasn't staked properly at the factory, this part may come loose after shooting several hundred/thousand rounds.

There are two types of fixed sight cuts for 1911's: 1. Colt Government 2. Novak LoMount. Prior to ordering a sight set for your 1911, be sure that you order the correct cut. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.
